Georgetown has grown fast, so a lot of homes here are in newer subdivisions, alongside older houses near downtown on streets with big trees. Most gutter trouble we see on newer homes is drainage, and on older homes it is leaves.

Drainage on newer homes

On many newer homes the gutters stay fairly clean, but the downspouts dump water right at the corner of the house or into a low spot in the yard. Extending the downspout or turning it away from the foundation is usually a simple fix. More on downspouts.

Older homes near downtown

Under mature trees, gutters can fill in one fall. A clean-out, a check of the seams and hangers, and a gutter guard sized to the leaves is the usual answer. If the seams leak or the hangers are loose, we fix that first. See gutter repair.

Out in the county

Farmhouses and rural homes often have tree lines close to the house and outbuildings with gutters of their own. Tell us which buildings you want done when you call and we will quote each one.

FAQ

Questions people ask us

Do you work outside Georgetown in Scott County?

Yes. Tell us the road when you call and we will set a time.

Water pools by my foundation even though the gutters are clean. Can you help?

Yes. That is usually the downspout, not the gutter. We check where each downspout sends its water at every visit.
