Most gutter trouble in this part of Kentucky comes down to trees. Oaks, maples, sycamores and tulip poplars drop more than an open gutter can carry, and once a gutter backs up, water goes over the front edge and lands where it does damage: the fascia board, the flower beds, and the foundation.

What we do

Signs your gutters need attention

  • Water pouring over the front of the gutter during a steady rain
  • Plants or seedlings growing out of the gutter
  • A gutter run that dips in the middle, or pulls away from the fascia
  • Drips from the corners or seams after the rain has stopped
  • Washed-out mulch or a trench in the bed right below the roof edge
  • Peeling paint or soft wood on the fascia boards
Squirrel climbing out of an open gutter
Open gutters fill with leaves, seed pods and the occasional visitor.

How a job goes

  • You call, text or send the form. Tell us the town and what you are seeing.
  • We look at the whole house. Every run, every downspout, and the trees above them. That is what decides which guard makes sense.
  • You get a written quote. Cleaning, repairs and guards are priced as separate lines, so you can pick.
  • Clean-out first. Then repairs, then guards. Debris leaves with us.

Guards do not mean you never look at your gutters again

Any company that tells you a guard makes gutters maintenance-free is overselling it. Guards keep leaves and sticks out of the trough, which is where clogs start. Fine debris such as shingle grit, pollen and pine needles can still collect on top of some guard types and needs brushing off now and then.

What changes is the job. Brushing the top of a guard from the ground or a short ladder is a lot easier than scooping a packed gutter by hand every November. Our guide to gutter guard types covers which styles handle which trees.

Questions people ask us

Do you clean the gutters before putting guards on?

Yes, always. A guard on top of a packed gutter just hides the clog. We clean every run and flush the downspouts first, then fix any leaks, then fit the guards.

Can you do just cleaning, without guards?

Yes. Plenty of people want a one-time clean-out before winter. We will tell you if we see anything that needs repair, and you decide.

How much do gutter guards cost?

It depends on how many feet of gutter you have, how high the roof is, and which guard fits your trees. We measure and give you a written quote. We do not price it over the phone without seeing it.

Do you work on two-story houses?

Yes. Tell us when you call so we bring the right ladders.
